While the current Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert remains in effect until later this afternoon, the Met Service is still advising the population on both islands to remain vigilant—especially those living in flood and landslide prone areas.
“Persons in flood and landslide prone areas are urged to remain alert, take precautions where necessary and monitor official updates throughout the day,” the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) urges in its latest advisory issued a short while ago.
“Motorists and residents in flood-prone areas avoid flooded areas and exercise caution. Secure loose outdoor objects,” it advised.
