NEW Minister of Public Utilities Colm Imbert said yesterday his constituency has experienced water supply problems for 33 years and he has started looking into the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in detail because he believes the company needs improvement.
After ten years as Minister of Finance, Imbert last week took over the role of Minister of Public Utilities from Marvin Gonzales, who was appointed the Minister of National Security.
Imbert was the keynote speaker at the sod-turning ceremony yesterday of the upgrade project on the Chatham Water Treatment Plant.
