Two months after the US-donated radar detected millions of dollars worth of drugs in the Caroni Swamp, a pick-up filled with marijuana was found yesterday afternoon after a confidential informant tipped off police.
Police arrested one man in relation to the latest find, which took place at approximately 2 pm. Reports said officers attached to the Central Division Gang and Intelligence Unit (CDGIU), acting jointly with the CID Operations Unit, made the seizure after receiving credible and actionable intelligence from a confidential informant.
According to police, a large consignment of narcotics recently entered Trinidad and Tobago via the South American peninsula and was offloaded at Riverside Marina, Cacandee Road, Felicity.
