New Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro has issued a strong caution to parents, calling on them to take greater responsibility for their children and warning that, under his leadership, school violence and youth delinquency will not be tolerated.
In an unscripted speech at the change-of-command ceremony for the Police Commissioner at the Police Academy in St James yesterday, Guevarro said he was moved to speak directly to families after reading a newspaper article about a father who joined the Police Service to set a positive example for his son.
