Teen’s dad apologises to family

THE father of 18-year-old Javon Hamilton, who was fatally shot during a home invasion in Freeport, says his family is shocked and struggling to understand how he became involved.

Victor Hamilton apologised to the family whose home was invaded on McLeod Trace last Thursday evening. He said he intended to speak with them about what happened.

“I am very sorry. Please don’t hold no grudge,” said Hamilton, who added that he was told that the homeowner was a distant relative of his.
