Police are investigating a violent home invasion in St. Margaret’s, Claxton Bay, where an elderly couple was beaten and robbed by three men early Tuesday morning.
According to police reports, around 7:30 a.m. the couple was at their home when they heard movements inside the house. On checking, they were confronted by three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
The intruders announced a robbery, and two of them began assaulting the male victim, inflicting injuries to his body before ransacking the house. The suspects escaped with a quantity of cash, jewelry, sneakers, and a cellphone.
