Police are continuing investigations into a violent home invasion in Claxton Bay, in which close to $70,000 in cash and valuables were stolen, leaving a 71-year-old pensioner injured and his 68-year-old relative traumatised.
According to a police report, around 7.30 am on Tuesday, the victims heard someone moving inside their home on Hibiscus Drive. Upon investigating, they found three men in their kitchen—one armed with a firearm, and two in black hoodies.
The two unarmed bandits began assaulting the male victim, leaving him seriously injured. The bandits then stole a gold-coloured chain valued at $25,000, a gold-coloured ring valued at $8,000, and $26,000 in cash. They also took two pairs of Jordan sneakers worth US$235 and US$210 in cash.
