Ten minors are facing charges for assault by beating in connection with two school-related incidents in Tobago.
Police reported that five students were charged following an incident on May 20. According to the report, a student was seated in a classroom when he was attacked and struck about the head by another student. Later that day, when the student’s father and sister arrived to collect him, they were also assaulted by a group of four students between the ages of 13 and 17.
The victims made a report at the Scarborough Police Station, which led to an investigation conducted by PC Edwards. On November 3, five students were charged for assault by beating in relation to the matter.
