Ten mi­nors are fac­ing charges for as­sault by beat­ing in con­nec­tion with two school-re­lat­ed in­ci­dents in To­ba­go.

Po­lice re­port­ed that five stu­dents were charged fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent on May 20. Ac­cord­ing to the re­port, a stu­dent was seat­ed in a class­room when he was at­tacked and struck about the head by an­oth­er stu­dent. Lat­er that day, when the stu­dent’s fa­ther and sis­ter ar­rived to col­lect him, they were al­so as­sault­ed by a group of four stu­dents be­tween the ages of 13 and 17.

The vic­tims made a re­port at the Scar­bor­ough Po­lice Sta­tion, which led to an in­ves­ti­ga­tion con­duct­ed by PC Ed­wards. On No­vem­ber 3, five stu­dents were charged for as­sault by beat­ing in re­la­tion to the mat­ter.
