Police have laid charges against five schoolgirls who allegedly ambushed and beat another student outside Holy Faith Convent in Couva two weeks ago.
The five, whose ages range from 14 to 18 years old, attend schools in Couva, Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Southern and Central Police Districts Wayne Mystar told the Express yesterday.
The five were charged with the offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
