Ten mi­nors in To­ba­go are fac­ing charges of as­sault by beat­ing fol­low­ing two sep­a­rate in­ci­dents of school-re­lat­ed vi­o­lence, ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­lease.

In the first case, five stu­dents were charged in con­nec­tion with an as­sault that oc­curred on May 20.

The re­lease said the in­ci­dent be­gan when a stu­dent who was seat­ed in a class­room, was at­tacked and struck sev­er­al times on the head by an­oth­er stu­dent.
