(Kaieteur News) – The father of police constable, Ryan Greene has approached the High Court seeking bail for his 20-year-old son, who was remanded to prison last week alongside Leader of the Opposition, Azruddin Mohamed over allegations relating to the unauthorised obtaining and sharing of CCTV footage connected to the October 12 shooting incident on Barr Street, Kitty.
Randy Greene, acting as his son’s next friend, filed a fixed-date application in the High Court on November 3, 2026, asking the court to overturn the decision of Sparendaam Magistrate Abigail Gibbs, who refused bail on October 30, citing the serious nature of the offence.

The application, filed by attorney-at-law Darren Wade, is brought under sections 6 and 32(3) of the Bail Act 2022. It seeks an order admitting the police constable to bail pending the hearing and determination of the charge against him.
