Fire tore through an abandoned house in San Fernando on Friday, prompting a call for homeowners to reclaim their neglected properties or ask the San Fernando City Corporation (SFCC) authorities for assistance to have them torn down.
The fire broke out at an abandoned house on Rushworth Street shortly before midday, and in minutes the property was gutted.
No one was harmed, but the blaze also scorched the perimeter of two nearby properties.
