The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services has marked a milestone with its 40th Disaster Relief and Home Repair Grant Distribution, providing financial assistance to 70 households in the Tunapuna/Piarco and Arima regions.
The distribution, held on Monday, benefited 223 people through grants totalling TT$936,045. The funding is intended to help vulnerable families recover from disasters and improve housing conditions.
Of the total allocation, 44 Disaster General Assistance Grants worth TT$397,923 were distributed to 142 beneficiaries. A further 26 Home Repair Grants valued at TT$538,122 were awarded to 81 beneficiaries.
