A month after police shot and killed Joshua Samaroo after a high-speed chase that started in Maloney and ended in St Augustine, Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro has confirmed that investigators in the matter have met with officials from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), in what he described as an “initial meeting.”
Samaroo was shot and killed by police on January 20, after officers pursued the vehicle he was driving from Maloney.
During the chase, police claim they were shot at by him and returned fire.
