Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles said yesterday she was “fascinated” by the Government’s claim that there is mould at Whitehall, Port of Spain, and it prevents Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar from going to work there.
Speaking to reporters at President’s House, Port of Spain, after she was appointed Opposition Leader, she said PNM ministers were “very comfortable” at Whitehall.
“(Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Barry Padarath) indicated that Whitehall is unfit. We (the PNM cabinet) had our cabinet meeting there just two weeks ago. We have had cabinet there for quite a long time. So I’m fascinated. I’m waiting to hear exactly what it is that makes Whitehall unfit. It is for them to...give us some more information.
