A 27-year-old Diego Martin man was shot on Saturday night during a struggle with two armed intruders who attempted to rob him at his home.

Around 10:05 p.m., the victim was tending to his dog, which he believed had been poisoned, when two men approached him.

Police said one of the suspects, described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, slim-built, brown-skinned, and wearing a dark hoodie and black long pants, pointed a firearm at the victim and said, “This is a robbery, carry me inside.”
