Four police officers charged with misbehaviour in public office over the alleged concealment of a loaded firearm have been granted bail by a master of the court.
PCs Mervyn Eligon, Daawuud Mohammed, Alexsi Harripersad and Akiel Smith faced the charge when they appeared before Master Delicia Bethelmy at the San Fernando High Court on Wednesday.
The four were jointly charged by the Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) with misbehaviour in public office by conspiring to pervert the course of public justice by concealing finding a firearm and ammunition at a certain location.
