Cellmates of inmate beaten to death yet to be interviewed

PoÂlice say that inÂmates in the same cell as ChristoÂpher BanÂfield, who was beatÂen to death on MonÂday, have not yet been inÂterÂviewed as enÂquiries inÂto the inÂciÂdent conÂtinÂue.
BanÂfield, 48, reÂportÂedÂly got inÂto an arÂguÂment with a cellÂmate at the ArouÂca MaxÂiÂmum SeÂcuÂriÂty Prison. A fight eruptÂed, durÂing which BanÂfield was seÂvereÂly beatÂen.
His body was found on the floor of the cell around 5.30 am on TuesÂday by a prison ofÂfiÂcer perÂformÂing rouÂtine inÂspecÂtions.
