A Diego Martin woman has reported being defrauded after transferring $4,000 for a car advertised online.
The victim told police that on Friday, she made an online transfer from her Republic Bank account to another Republic Bank account under a particular name, for a supposed “work-to-own” agreement for a black Nissan Tiida, registration.
The car was advertised on Facebook Marketplace under the name “Work to Own,” with a contact number provided. The victim’s husband had been communicating with the seller via WhatsApp to arrange the transaction.
