A man on duty at the Police Training Academy in St James reported the theft of his $4,000 gold ring on Tuesday morning.
Police said the incident occurred around 6:10 a.m., when the Tunapuna resident, employed as a handyman at the academy, placed the ring on a sink while using the bathroom in one of the campus buildings.
After finishing, the man left the bathroom, forgetting the ring. When he returned shortly afterward, he discovered the ring was missing.
