TWO police constables were granted bail with a surety yesterday after being charged with fraud for allegedly accepting cash to fast-track approvals for Housing Development Corporation (HDC) houses.
WPCs Kizzy Thomas and Jillian Holder were yesterday both charged with conspiracy to defraud, together with other persons contrary to common law, when they appeared before Master Whitney Franklin in the Chaguanas High Court and Master Rehanna Hosein in the Port of Spain High Court, respectively.
Thomas was granted bail with a surety in the sum of $100,000. She is required to reside at a Chaguanas address, surrender her passport after accessing bail, and have no contact with the virtual complainant or the informant. The matter was postponed to November 15.
