A SPECIAL Reserve Police Officer has been granted bail with surety in the sum of $200,000, after she appeared before a Justice of the Peace (JP), charged with Forgery and Misbehaviour in Public Office in connection with an alleged forged Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) certificate.
According to a press release from the T&T Police Service, WPC Lauren Thomas, who was last attached to the Northern Division- North, was charged with Uttering a Forged Document Contrary to Section 9 (1) of the Forgery Act Chapter 11:13 and Misbehaviour in Public Office Contrary to Common Law.
She was granted bail by Justice of the Peace Stephen Young and is to appear before the Port of Spain North Criminal Court tomorrow.
