A marked police vehicle was damaged in a collision with a car driven by a man who later failed a breathalyser test in Piarco early Monday morning.
Police said around 2:30 a.m. officers were on mobile patrol along Golden Grove Road when they spotted a Nissan B15 driving north on the southbound lane of the roadway.
The officers intercepted the vehicle, but while being instructed to switch off the engine, the Nissan rolled forward and struck the rear of the marked police vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
