A drunk dri­ver who was go­ing the wrong way on Gold­en Grove Road, Pi­ar­co, end­ed up crash­ing his own car in­to a po­lice ve­hi­cle while be­ing ar­rest­ed.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent hap­pened at around 2.30 am on Mon­day, when of­fi­cers saw a blue Nis­san B15 head­ing north in the south­bound lane. They chased and in­ter­cept­ed the car.

As the dri­ver got out on com­mand, the ve­hi­cle kept rolling and struck the back of the po­lice car, dam­ag­ing its bumper.
