A police officer was bitten on both legs by an American Bully while on duty on Sunday.

The officer was in company with his colleagues in an unmarked police vehicle in the Chaguanas area around 2 a.m. when they saw a silver Toyota Corolla with its headlights on and engine idling along Akbar Road, Charlieville.

The vehicle was close to open, unsecured premises with a house and derelict vehicles. The house was open and the light on and the officers opined that suspicious activity could have been taking place.
