Members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) moved swiftly to rescue a four-year-old boy after a vehicle theft escalated into an abduction on Saturday afternoon.
According to police reports, around 3 pm a 51-year-old man reported that his white Nissan Navara had been stolen along Guaico Tamana Road in Sangre Grande with his son inside.
Police said the suspect, known to the victim, drove off with the child, prompting an immediate response. The vehicle was located shortly after at a nearby location, with the child found unharmed inside. A 40-year-old suspect was arrested by officers of the Sangre Grande Police Station, while the child was medically examined and found to be in good health.
