T&T sprintÂer Jereem Richards has adÂvanced to ThursÂday's men's 400 meÂtres fiÂnal at the World AthÂletÂics ChamÂpiÂonships in Tokyo, Japan as one of the two fastest losers out of the three seÂmi-fiÂnal heats.
While onÂly the top two from each heat adÂvanced auÂtoÂmatÂiÂcalÂly to the fiÂnal, Richards placed third in seÂmi-fiÂnal heat two, recordÂing a seaÂson's best of 44.12 secÂonds.
The winÂner of that race was Botswana's BuÂsang KeÂbiÂnatÂshipi in a top 10 all-time clockÂing of 43.61 secÂonds. JaÂmaica's Rusheen McÂdonÂald seÂcured the othÂer auÂtoÂmatÂic qualÂiÂfyÂing spot placÂing secÂond in 44.04.
