Khadija âBunnyâ Shaw picked up where she left off last season as she scored a brace to help lift defending champions Manchester City to a 3-1 win over Birmingham City in their Womenâs Super League opener on Sunday.
The Jamaican striker headed home unmarked in the 54th minute to open her account for the season and double Cityâs lead after Mary Fowler had put them ahead in the 49th minute with a low drive into the bottom corner.
Shaw bagged her second in the 86th minute with a similar headed goal to put Man City three goals clear before Birmingham pulled one back in the 90th minute through Oceane Hurtre.
