NATIONAL Gas Company (NGC) chairman Gerald Ramdeen says it is “obscene” and “scandalous” that over half a billion dollars is owed to its subsidiary, the National Energy Corporation (NEC), for the industrial use of tugs, ports and piers.
He has therefore initiated a crackdown to retrieve these funds.
Further, Ramdeen said it was shocking and appalling that prime industrial lands have been leased for as little as two cents, prompting him to immediately take action and revisit these rates.
