Police are investigating a report of sexual assault involving a Colombian woman who was attacked by a man posing as a taxi driver in Chaguanas early Saturday morning.
According to police, the woman boarded a white Nissan AD wagon on Mulchan Seuchan Road around 3:30 a.m., requesting a drop-off to Felicity. However, the driver diverted the route and stopped along Suresh Street, near the Chaguanas maxi-taxi hub.
There, the suspect reportedly moved into the back seat, placed a cutlass against the victim’s face, and sexually assaulted her inside the vehicle. He then stole her cell phone, valued at $2,000, pushed her out of the car, and fled the scene.
