A man was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning in Port-of-Spain, and his vehicle was briefly stolen before being recovered by police.
According to police reports, the victim drove his white Nissan Kicks to Building #7, St. Joseph Plannings, Piccadilly Street around 12:15 a.m. to meet a female friend. Upon his arrival, three male suspects approached him, one armed with a firearm, and demanded his valuables.
Fearing for his safety, the man exited the vehicle and was struck on the back of the head. The suspects took his wallet, which contained his driver’s license, bank debit and credit cards, and national ID card, as well as his black Samsung A5S phone valued at TT$1,800. They also stole the vehicle, valued at TT$200,000.
