Cop charged with ammo granted $80,000 bail

The police officer who was charged with possession of ten rounds of ammunition was placed on $80,000 bail by the court.

Avinash Kussie, 35, of Chaguanas, appeared before Master Whitney Franklin yesterday in a virtual hearing at Master Court South C.

The case against Kussie is that he had ten rounds of 9mm ammunition while not being exempted under the Firearms Act and not being a holder of a Firearm User’s Licence in relation to the ammunition. The charge was laid by PC Hosein.
