Two men, one armed with a gun and the other with a broomstick, robbed a Rancho Quemado mini mart of $2,000 on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said around 2:20 p.m., two suspects dressed in orange coveralls with black jerseys covering their faces entered the Sweet Taste Mini Mart at S.S. Erin Road and announced a hold-up.

One pointed a firearm at the cashier, who in fear dropped to the ground and escaped through a back door before running upstairs to alert the store’s proprietor, a 22-year-old.
