A Laventille man was arrested after he and four men robbed a group of friends in Freeport on Wednesday.
According to police, four friends, all from Central Trinidad, were liming at a residence in Bholai Trace East, Freeport, when at around 11 p.m., they were approached by five armed suspects who announced a robbery.
The victims, fearful for their lives, were robbed of a quantity of cash, gold jewellery, and cellphones, before the criminals escaped in one of the victim’s cars, a black Nissan Note.
