APPROXIMATELY 613 former Caroni (1975) Ltd workers are expected to gain access to residential plots at Petit Morne II and III near Ste Madeleine, where land clearing has been under way since early July.

As the lands off the M2 Ring Road were stripped of vegetation in recent weeks, raising concerns among nearby residents, the Estate Management Business Development Company Ltd (EMBD) confirmed to the Sunday Express yesterday that about 273 acres were being cleared for the former Caroni workers.

The Sunday Express was referred to the EMBD by Minister of Lands and Legal Affairs Saddam Hosein.
