The Estate Management and Business Development Company (EMBD) has denied claims that former Caroni 1975 Ltd workers, who earlier this year received leases to promised residential and agricultural lots, are still waiting to develop their land while waiting on boundary information.
In a release yesterday, the Company, which has been tasked with managing former Caroni lands more than two decades after it was shuttered, said that it had taken note of an article that appeared in the Guardian Newspaper, which it claimed carried inaccurate statements.
The report quoted a number of recipients who expressed frustration over what it said was a lack of information on boundary lines and demarcation.
