THE Egypt Village Government Primary School remains closed for classes due to an ongoing mice infestation, Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath has said.
Dowlath’s comment came in response to an urgent question in Parliament on Friday from St Ann’s East MP Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, who asked the minister to state whether the school would be fully sanitised, certified safe, and reopened, following its closure last month.
Dowlath said he was advised that the school remains temporarily closed due to a continued mice infestation. He said the school was reopened on January 26, following initial sanitisation.
