FORMER National Carnival Commission (NCC) chairman Winston “Gypsy” Peters has defended the former administration’s borrowing of $200 million to pay Carnival contractors, saying that this administration would soon, too, have to borrow to pay debts.
Former minister of culture Randall Mitchell meanwhile has chided his successor Michelle Benjamin, saying she does not understand the purpose of the loan.
They were responding to a statement from the Michelle Benjamin-led Ministry of Culture and Community Development.
