Two visitors from London were robbed at knifepoint while walking back to their apartment in St. Clair on Tuesday night.
The victims, a 25-year-old administrator with Mears Group, and a 28-year-old finance officer with local government in London, told police they were attacked around 9 p.m. on Picton Street, Port of Spain, after returning from the Queen’s Park Savannah.
The women had gone out to buy food but, finding the stalls closed, stopped at Haagen-Dazs for ice cream. While heading back to their apartment at Picton Street, two men came up from behind them in the poorly lit roadway, pressed knives to their neck and stomach, and announced a robbery.
