Three residents of Manzanilla were injured during a violent home robbery on Sunday evening, in which a vehicle was stolen but later recovered by police.
Around 6.20 p.m., an elderly resident was sitting in her gallery at Clarke Trace Extension, Old Plum Road, when she was approached by a man armed with a knife. The suspect pushed her to the ground, causing injuries, and demanded valuables. Two other armed men then entered the home, assaulting a second resident at the dining table, striking him with a knife, and taking his cellular phone and the keys to his blue Nissan Tiida, registration PCJ 4477.
A third resident, a young adult, was also attacked in her bedroom and relieved of cash, an iPhone XR, and jewellery.
