Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Sean Sobers wrote to the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) today, reaffirming the country’s support for the United States after its extraction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from Caracas yesterday.
He also referenced a commitment to peaceful relations with the people of Venezuela.
The letter written by Sobers dated January 4, stated that the government of Trinidad and Tobago had taken note of the developments and repeated Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s claim that the country was not a participant.
