Cops charged after cash disappears during police search

Two police officers have been charged with misbehaviour in public office, to wit larceny dwelling house, following allegations that cash belonging to a businessman was stolen from his home during a police search.

PC Satesh Mahase and PC Akeil Celestine appeared before Master Whitney Franklyn on Monday.

The officers were previously granted bail with surety by Justice of the Peace Kawal Baboolal in the sums of $150,000 and $200,000 respectively.
