(Kaieteur News) – Onai Nassy, a 44-year-old miner of Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, was on Wednesday charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking after police allegedly found in his car on Sunday 36 pounds of suspected cocaine concealed in frozen fish.
Nassy appeared before Her Worship Magistrate Tomika Clarke at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison until October 15, 2026.
