RESIDENTS of Maingotville, Claxton Bay, where a teen bandit was fatally shot during an attempted robbery on Saturday, said they sympathised with the loved ones of the teenager, but believe he came to their community with bad intentions.

'He plotted, he executed the plot, and this is what happened. He plotted his death. I sympathise with his mother and family, but people value their safety more than anything,' said a resident when the Express visited the community on Monday.

Christian Patterson, 18, of Pranz Gardens, Claxton Bay, was fatally shot by a licensed firearm user when he used a toy firearm during an attempted robbery.
