KERVIN HARRYNARINE, who was charged with the murder of a man at his home, has been acquitted of the offence.
In the judge-alone trial, Justice Nalini Singh said given inconsistencies from the State's main witness and a dark video, the prosecution did not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Harrynarine was charged with the murder of Devon Brown, who was stabbed in the face, neck and right upper limb while at Harrynarine's Cunupia home on June 21, 2020. Brown, who ran from the scene, was found alive at Esmeralda Road and Southern Main Road in Cunupia. He died hours later at the Chaguanas Health Facility.
