A CHAGUANAS man charged with a New Year’s Day murder of a retired police officer eight years ago walked free from the High Court on Monday after a judge ruled that the State’s case was riddled with “forensic gaps” and an incomplete timeline.
Justice Nalini Singh found Nackool “Danny” Ramcharan, 37, not guilty of the 2018 killing of John Ramkissoon in Longdenville, concluding that the prosecution had failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Ramkissoon, a father of four, was stabbed to death during a lime at his home along Gopaul Trace, Palmiste when a fight broke out.
