A 58-year-old watchman was attacked and robbed on Wednesday night while walking through Scarborough, in an incident now under investigation by police.
Keith Morales, of Robert Trace, Mt. Pleasant, told officers that around 8:30 p.m., he was walking along Gardenside Street when he noticed a man trailing him. The suspect, described as approximately six feet tall, of dark complexion, and medium build, followed him up to the area near the Scarborough Library.
According to the report, the man grabbed Morales by the neck and began beating him, before robbing him of $17 in cash and two slices of pizza. The assailant then fled the scene.
