(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Public Works will spend some $2 billion to complete the rehabilitation of the Princess Street Road project.
According to information published by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), the new contract for the road expansion was awarded to Associated Construction Services to the tune of $2,078,784,698, following the national bidding process. Based on the date provided, NPTAB awarded the new road contract on July 17, 2026.
Kaieteur News reported earlier this year that the public works ministry went out to tender requesting bids for the “rehabilitation/construction of Princess Street-Cemetery Road to St. Stephens Street (1070m)”.
