(Kaieteur News) – A bucket with a loaded .38 revolver reportedly fell out of a vehicle on Friday at Durban and John Streets, Georgetown, police have reported.
Preliminary investigations, according to police, revealed that a police rank on duty in the area observed a bucket fall from a motor vehicle around 13:30 hrs. “The bucket was subsequently struck by passing vehicles, after which an object suspected to be a firearm was observed on the roadway”, police said.
The rank took possession of the weapon. It was reportedly loaded with five live rounds. The weapon was lodged at the Albertown Police Station.
