The discovery of a .38 revolver and five live rounds of matching ammunition on Friday in the vicinity of Durban and John Streets, Georgetown, has prompted a Police investigation.
Based on reports received, Police ranks were on duty in the area when they observed a bucket falling from a motor vehicle that was proceeding along Durban Street.
The bucket was subsequently struck by several passing vehicles, thus causing an object suspected to be a firearm to fall onto the roadway. Upon examination, the object was identified as a suspected. 38 revolver along with five matching rounds of ammunition.
